Shipping Requirements

Please follow these guidelines to ensure safe arrival of empty printer cartridges and cell phones at Coastal Recycling Centers receiving facility.

1.	Locate a sturdy box that meets these size and weight requirements: Qualifying boxes must be no larger than 20"W x 20"H x 24"D and not heavier than 40 pounds when full.
2.	Pack cartridges using the 20-20 Rule: a. 20 pounds of lasers or mixed product b. or at least 10 units of product
3.	To avoid damage during shipping, fill any extra space with newspaper or bubble wrap and securely tape your shipper box closed.
4.	Apply a UPS shipping label to each box and give to your UPS Driver
5.	Please do not use original box that cartridge came in.

Note: Please do not call UPS for a pickup. UPS charges a mandatory fee when called to pick up packages which cannot be waived or reimbursed by Coastal Recycling Centers.

Laser cartridges

Package at least 20 pounds (10 or more laser cartridges) together in a box. Box should not exceed 40 pounds. If you have 100 or more laser cartridges contact a representative to schedule a free pickup at 760-674-0858

Inkjet cartridges

Wrap each cartridge in newspaper or place in a separate zip-closure bag being careful not to touch the print head or circuit board.

Cell phones

Please be sure to add newspaper or bubble sheets to cushion the phones during shipping.

Shipping

Free shipping is available through prepaid UPS labels. These labels are mailed from Coastal Recycling Centers receiving facility to the address you indicated during ordering. Remember, if you have 100 or more laser cartridges contact a representative to schedule a free pickup.
